Amsio Expands SaasNow as a Service Solution in Europe with Interxion

Interxion’s Pan-European footprint enables Amsio to deliver a better user experience and meet strict data sovereignty laws
LONDON – 22nd October 2015 – INTERXION HOLDING NV (NYSE: INXN), a leading provider of carrier and cloud-neutral colocation data centre services in Europe, today announced that Amsio has selected a further seven of its data centres from which to launch its new SaasNow as a service solution.
The solution takes the power of SAS Visual Analytics and Visual Statistics and makes it available in the cloud on a flexible, scalable, pay-per-month basis. It allows enterprises to benefit from a self-service environment for business intelligence and big data analytics, with no need to invest in infrastructure or SAS licenses.
Amsio became a key partner of SAS in 2010 and helped to develop SaasNow, which is run on a shared platform with dedicated virtual machines (VMs), hosted and managed by Amsio. It has been designed with SAS partners in mind, offering a global contract that enables them to register free of charge and get set up within one working day. Partners can then deliver live SAS Visual Analytics environments to their customers in just 30 minutes.
Currently the solution is colocated at Interxion’s Netherlands data centre, but in order to meet European customer demand and comply with strict data sovereignty laws Amsio looked to Interxion to help them roll it out in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Sweden, Spain and the UK.
Gerben Van Leeuwen CEO Amsio commented, “User experience and data privacy are two of the critical success factors for any good cloud solution and we knew that in order for us to launch SaasNow as a service these aspects needed to be world class. The fact Interxion has over 500 carriers and data centres in 11 countries meant we could host the solution in multiple geographies, alleviating latency issues and enabling us to meet local data sovereignty laws.”
Vincent in’t Veld, Director of Cloud at Interxion commented, “Through our Pan European footprint and densely connected data centres, we can enable Managed Service Providers and Software providers like Amsio and SAS to expand and re-invent their business models, delivering on demand services with an improved experience and compliant to local data regulation.”
“SaasNow breaks down barriers to adoption of SAS Visual Analytics, enabling a much wider range of companies to quickly benefit from its capabilities,” says Hylke Visser, SAS Global Partner Manager for Amsio. “The partnership with Amsio has allowed us to develop a brand-new business model with great potential for our partners and their customers throughout Europe and beyond.”
